My name is Steven Degutis and I'm self-employed. My business is using Cocoa to write commercial applications, and I love using it more than any other framework for computers currently available.
I particularly enjoy writing Graphical User Interfaces. Due to several years of using terrible applications (mostly under Windows), I have a good idea of what kind of GUI concepts *not* to use, and I thoroughly enjoy learning about how Cocoa implements many GUI concepts (such as how Drag and Drop is implemented).
Some programming languages that encompass my repertoire include C, C++, and more importantly Objective-C, and my specialty is in Object Oriented programming, and have found ObjC to be perfect for this, since it's runtime is dynamical and it is weakly typed. Although it's a little wordy sometimes, it does the job perfectly.
My wife and I have three children and have been happily married for nearly a tenth of a century. She is currently in the process of securing a Nurse Practitioner's License, and I will have a general associates degree in science by the end of 2008.
